Follow up to mary lou's 'Anyone changing their gardens this year'

I did it today. Here's the bed with the overgrown Candytuft that I wrote about in the other thread. I was too embarrassed to take a "before" pic because there was so much grass up thru it and the whole bed was a mess besides. I whacked it back and cut a fourth of it off, it had spread wide enough that you couldn't see the paving stones in front. Pulled weeds and then re-dug the soil, hauled up a wheelbarrow full of good dirt from the compost pile, and then planted my new Lupines. The colors are blue, white, yellow and then a pink towards the back. Used to have lupines here and they were so pretty, but they got wet feet too often and I think that's why they died off. This time I raised the soil level a bit.
