Is this grass?

There's a big patch of this in my new garden and I would like to plant there. Do they look like grass seedlings to you? Or maybe some type of weed or flower?

I don't want to get rid of it if it's good. Thanks!

Grass?

It is a type of grass that I call water grass, don't know the real name. Yank 'em!

I second the grass. I don't know what kind it is either but the stuff that looks like that in my garden gets tall. It looks nice if you have a grassy area but your garden bed is probably not it. ;-) Yank it!

Bad news: Yep
Good news: At that stage they pull up easily. Be happy it's not quack grass or Bermuda grass.

So that is what crab grass seedlings look like! I have it everywhere (in addition to the @#$%$#ing Bermuda) and always pull it up, but I didn't know what it was.
