Yellow Allium foliage?

Posted by midnightsmum 4b ON (My Page) on

All my beautiful allium at the front garden have their foliage yellowing and dying back. Everything else in the garden, including the spent tulips, are lush and green. What is the problem, lack of iron??

Nancy unfortunately it seems to be the nature of the beast. I always stick my Alliums in behind other plants so their not so pretty leaves don't show.

Oh darn it, cause we do love their blooms. Most of the flowers in this bed are annuals, cosmos, cleome and California poppies. I wonder if it is too late to plant more money plant seed? I have had a very poor germination rate it seems....

Yes, agree they turn yellow and flop. So do my Crown Imperials.
