Mexican Marigold growing tips

Does anyone have growing tips for Cempazuchitl (tagetes erecta)- mexican marigold? Should I grow them just like any other tall marigold? I've heard this particular marigold seldom blooms in latitudes north of Mexico. I live in Pennsylvania, zone 5. I've already stared the seeds, and the plants are now big enought o put in the ground.

I had some at my former house. They bloomed just fine. Of course I live in S. central TX.
They are certainly worth a shot.

In Mexico they plant them around July 24 so they can be ready by November here.
