I don't know what this plant is called but I love it. My in-laws have it growing in their garden and I've always admired it. I had never seen it anywhere else before. When I asked about it, she said she thought it was actually some kind of weed but she liked it so she kept it anyway. I think it's too nice to be a weed! Does anyone know what it is? It almost reminds me of baby's breath but the flowers are a little bigger. I got mine at my local compost centre last summer after someone threw it away there. It looked dead because the root was bare and it was so hot but I brought it home and planted it anyway and it came back. This year it's a lot taller and loaded with blooms. Even if it is a weed, it's a keeper!

The plant in your last picture looks like Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium). I've had it with both single and double flowers pop up in my garden.

Sunny, I'm back, the buzzer went on my oven so had to go attend to it:). Great pics by the way, your Julia Child rose is lovely, I've also have a 'Night Owl' iris, when I've taken pictures of mine it never shows how really dark it is, does this happen to you too?
I also have a 'Primevere' peony but mine isn't going to bloom this year so I've enjoyed looking at yours, thanks for sharing.

I agree on the plant being feverfew. Supposed to somehow be good for headaches. I have never researched it.

All your plants a very pretty. I LOVE the Night Owl iris. Is it really that blue? Boy, I need to find one.

I love looking at pics of your garden-variety you have so many great things blooming. I especially like the feverfew, lupine, and fluffety white peony!

Annette - Thank-you!!!!! I finally know the name of it and now I can tell my MIL that it's not a weed! I googled it and it said that it was an herb used for migranes but it also said that when eaten it can leave blisters on the roof of your mouth, ouch! As for the iris, yes it doesn't photograph quite as dark as it is in person. My Primivere peony was new last year so I was surprised it flowered this year. I didn't think it would. A nice surprise!

Kathy - It does have blue tones but is darker in person.

Oh, your garden looks so cool and moist! To have irises in almost *july*!!! It's been in the 90's here for more than a month (almost 2 months) straight. Your garden looks so lovely and refreshing.

girlgroupgirl - We had a lot of rain in May and June and have only had a couple of really hot days here so far. The season was slow to start here this year. This time last year my irises were already done but this year because of the late start, everything was slow so is a couple of weeks behind.
