Most of the afternoon a family of owls has been in a tree in my back yard.

Difficult to tell but there is more than one on the right. I know at one point I saw three pairs of eyes.

RE: owls

The last time I saw an owl, I was walking my little dog and it swooped out in front of us. I took her home really quickly.....They would be cool to have in the yard though. Great photos!

Hopefully one of them will get the rat I saw run across the top of the fence a few nights ago.
I was surprised to see them back this morning.

RE: owls

That is one of the things I kind of wish I had them for...LOL I'm trying straw bale gardening and you know what that attracts....yuck!!! I'm such a rodent-phobe....

My husband tried to convince me it was a chipmunk because he didn't want me in hysterics.....LOL But it wasn't

That is so amazing! Such beautiful birds...wish there were some around here to see.
If you run out of rats for them please send them up this way. We have a special on all you can eat squirrel this week, LOL!
Thanks so much for the pics- never seen them so close!

RE: owls

I never see owls here although I can hear them at night during the summer when the windows are open.
