Deadheading Iris

Am I the only one with OCD when it comes to deadheading their Iris? I know the spent blooms will eventually turn brown and fall off but the plant looks so nice without them. Does it encourage more blooms? I don't think so. Plus I don't have a field of them to take care of or I wouldn't do it. ha.

I love my white irises and I deadhead because they look like soggy, dirty tissue paper when done:)

Btw... I'm newly looking at this cottage forum and I love seeing everyone's photos of their beautiful gardens:)

I deadhead all my iris as hate the blob of spent blooms detracting from the new and unopened blooms.

I deadhead some but not the old ones I allow to run rampant. Too much work!

Is it me or have the Iris stopped blooming too soon? I barely had time to enjoy them. Had plenty of blooms tho.

Another ocd'er! I go outside every day and deadhead spent blooms. I agree, it did seem like their bloom time came and went too fast. I try to take pics around the garden every few days and try to capture all the pretty blooms.
