I've done coreopsis that way and the other day i did my cobbity daisies the same way.It doesn't hurt them and i always get reblooms,i even domy petunias that way.I have more plants than i have time,so i cut corners every way i can.Works for me.

My opinion and remember it's just mine,is that some people stress too much over what to do in the garden.Mother nature doesn't stress and neither do i,and my plants and gardens look good,and that's not just my opinion,but friends and neighbors as well.

Whatever works for you,do it!! There are no garden Police that i know of.Just sayin'.

I did that with my red yarrow when it got so leggy, and it has done great!

They used to be called Marguarite daisys.

Ok..now I recognize the plant. Did I see where there is a yellow Marguarite daisy? I think PW grows one..something like Butterfly ? is the name. Don't have my notes in front of me.
