There is nothing more summer to me then Ruds, its about the perfect climate for them here, they normally last several years and reseed fairly easily.

Ruds punch colour , can be cut, and are prolific where they like, no fuss, no muss, no spraying for fungal desease here.

A newer one, Cherry Brandy, took a couple years to really like it,

Irish Eyes, my all time fav, if you put this next to prarier sun, I prefer Irish eyes.

Double Gold, I love double gold rud, and maybe would want this one for yearly huge doubles, some of these flowers look like sunflowers, getting to be 5 1/2 feet tall with 7-8 inch flowers.

A gloriosa daisy mix, old fashioned favorites

Some out of cherokee sunset mix, I need to repurchase this pack, as the seeds I saved from years ago are mostly in this colour vein

This is a interesting seeding from cherry brandy, not sure I like it honestly !

My daylily seedlings are just starting to get going.

Beautiful pics. I love Rudbeckia but I have a hard time with certain varieties. Cherry Brandy is finally looking good this year. Thanks for sharing your pics.

Like you both, I am finally liking my Cherry Brandy. Almost gave them away last fall.

Thanks for sharing your photos and reminding me to plant some more Irish Eyes.

Beautiful! I love that red one in the first pic. They do not do well here, but I have one plant that manages to hang on.

I found a nursery with Cherry Brandy a few weeks ago and brought home a few along with some Cherokee Sunsets. LOVE them, wish they liked full sun a bit more.

All of my rud hirtas came from seed swaps so they probably weren't pure, but I just love seeing all the variation in the blends pop up all over the garden as they reseed. So dependable, and so pretty.

Stunning Rudbeckia,..i like the Cherry Brandy and the Cherokee,..very appealing dark colours,..the Double Gold has a lovely contrast,..being Irish i would have to like the Irish Eyes,..and with the green eyes of course,..i had to go check to see were mine still green.

Gorgeous blooms!

I love rudbeckia hirta varieties, too! This year, mine are doing great. I've had to pull a few that browned, but I think it was from voles digging beneath.
