Identify for me please?

Does anyone know what this plant is? Even if you don't know the name of it, do you know if it is an undesirable or not? It is in a spot where seeds were planted, but doesn't look like anything actually planted, at least not that we remember......

It is the one behind the cosmos.

Janie, could it be a cassia? Or some sort of mimosa? The leaves don't seem very different from the cassia tree I have. Do you know if it blooms and what sort of blooms it has? Evergreen or deciduous?

It has not bloomed yet. I do think you are right about it being a cassia.

That is a good starting place, thanks.

Reminds me of false indigo. It's dark out or I'd go take a pic. Mine blooms pink.

Here is a link that might be useful: false indigo

Do the leaves have an odor? Is it more blue than it appears in the picture?

Did you have any seeds of Parkinsonia florida?

On the opposite end of the spectrum, could it be Senna occidentalis?

It doesn't look like my false indigo, which blooms white.

OH! I think it is the native false indigo bush! Pics at LBJ Wildflower center site look just like it.

Thanks!
Janie- who has false indigo which blooms pink, and this native thing blooms blue!
