I just wish they would bloom all day. I like to take pictures of
the flowers in my garden and I use it as my wallpaper on my
computer..I especially enjoy it in the winter.

Thanks alana, I love the shape of the last one too. It is a very,
    very light purple.

Renee, the first one has beautiful colors. I planted them very late
so hopefully I will get seeds.

mnwsgal. I only have 8 morning glories that I planted this year,
plus 2 self sowers..May do more next year.

Those are lovely! Would you know the name of the first one? It's an incredible blue! I also like the dotted one. :)

The first one is Hama no ginga or Galaxy on the Beach. The spotted one is Fujishibori.

These colors are so cool and crisp! Love the blues!

I planted chocolate morning glories last year but of course didn't get pics. I have a volunteer growing in a pot right now but I have no idea what color it will be if in fact it gets to bloom. I usually plant morning glories every year as they are a cottage favorite. I seem to go for a lot of flowers that only bloom for a short time. Like fireworks I guess. I always like fireworks!! :) Such a kid at heart!

I am so jealous! They're gorgeous.

For some reason, in the five years I've been seriously gardening, I have had ONE morning glory bloom. Most of the time they never come up. :-( I can't figure out why I have trouble with them. They are one of my favorite flowers and I try each year. I even soak the seeds first.

Scully ~ I wrap my seeds in wet paper towels and put them under a counter or bench until they sprout, then I drop them into the ground when it is warm. Also, they seem to like a bit of stratifying, IMO. What have you got to lose? :)

    Those are ALL gorgeous!
    I love them too.
I have some volunteers growing on my wattle fence. I planted Moonflowers on the new arch, but they haven't started to bloom yet.

I bought seeds, but didn't get them planted.

This is Spanish Flags from 2009. I planted them in late May and they didn't bloom until October. Then, they went to town! The first frost just seemed to make them bloom better. I want to grow them again next year.

My red MG. Got the seeds from a lady in town.

Here they are with old-fashioned Garden Phlox, Lady-in-Red Salvia, and drk. pink 4 O'clocks.

These are all from 2009. There were several others. The ones this year aren't much to look at.

    Yours are fabulous. Very unusual.

Those are pretty annie. I like how you have different pink flowers
    in third photo.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. All of these MG seeds were
given to me. I was very pleased with all of them.

Here is another that was given to me.

Oh, that is lovely. It has leaves rather like the wild Morning glory. Cool! Does it have a name?

I have wild MGs in my garden. They came into my yard by rain run-off washing them down into our yard years ago. They were so pretty, I transplanted some into the garden. They are a bit smaller, but look much like the Heavenly Blue MGs only a slightly paler blue and mitten-like leaves.

MGs always bloom best in late summer and early fall here.
