something charming for a pot on a shaded porch?

Hey folks, I was considering Brugsmansia... but I worry about it being a bit too highmaintanence. During the summer, the porch gets a couple hours of sun at most, and probably none in the winter, but even then, it's bright shade.

I wanted something to be a medium to semi-large pot, something that's really striking, probably white. Maybe something that smells nice?

Does anyone have something like this that they might suggest? I'm totally open to various things.
