    Hi Mytime,
thank you for the nice comments,..i guess its become a habit taking shots of the flowers with the sun shining through,..many times while taking a tea break i spot the sun hitting a flower in a certain way and grab the camera,..it doesn't always work but when it does it looks great.

    Hi Schoolhouse,
this was my first year growing Hollyhocks,..we get so much rain here,..and mists,..the Hollyhock leaves get too wet and problems set in,..i guess i was just lucky,..no problems at all,..every Cottage Garden should have them,..a multitude of flowers,..vertical.

Oh, Wow, you grow so many things that we can't even attempt in Texas! Love your pictures, especially the roses, you're getting me interested in getting back into photography after many years.

Thank you Ogrose,..one name comes to mind which describes where i live,..Green Isle,..and its an apt name,..we do have lots of greenery the whole year round,..but then we also have too much moisture,..so everything will grow,..alas even Mildew.

I just love to capture what i see in the garden,..i use a small pocket camera,..a Sony Cybershot DSC-W55,..it does the job but some colours are very hard to capture,..red and orange in particular,..oh do take out the camera again and experiment.

    Hi Mytime,
the Crocosmia were already growing in that area when i planted the Fuchsia,..in fact it was the only place i had for the Fuchsia so i am glad you like the combo as i was never sure about those two colours,..the picture below was taken in the last few moments.

Thank you Kathi,..its nice to know you stroll through the paths,..just now they are very narrow as plants have filled in,..but the benefit of that is you can not help brushing against plants like the Curry Bush,..Lavender,..Mint,..Lemon Balm,..Tangerine Sage,..and Purple Fennel.

Thank you tj for the nice comments,..glad you enjoyed the views.
