Ya, they don't call it dope for nothin'! I once watched my downstairs neighbor(who was from another part of the country(NOT born and raised here!)try to use dental floss as a clothes line!! She was having a garage sale and was hanging (with hangers!)clothes, when it all dropped(a lot of clothes) she was cursing and yelling at her kids for help, i gave her some rope just to stop the swearing at her kids. Now when ever my kids and I have a "moment", we call it a dental floss moment!

At the Stephen F Austin University in Nacogdoches TX, they have a hibiscus plant (I am guessing at spelling DASYCALYX) in the horticulture department that has to be guarded because it looks so much like you know what.

I have the same one in my flower bed and often I have to explain what it is not.
