As I was staggering to the kitchen, I saw what I thought was a dog toy.

Turns out my 15 years old cat had brought me a "gift" during the night. A rat. In nearly 30 years of having pet doors, this is only the 3rd or 4th time she has brought something in.

The worst was a live bluejay. Bird poop every where before I finally caught it in a curtain and threw it out a window.

btw, I used the pooper scooper to pick up the dead rat.
