Vigna caracalla versus Phaseolus caracalla

I'm patiently waiting to see which one I have. I bought seed of what is supposed to be the fragrant one last year, only one seed germinated. It grew but didn't flower last year so I wintered it in the greenhouse. It's been out all summer, a week ago I noticed flower buds forming so moved the pot into the greenhouse. Patience girl patience!!!
Apparently there is a lot of confusion as both V. caracalla and P. caracalla have been called 'Snail Vine'. I think I've got it straightened out now thanks to the guys on the vine forum.
Phaseolus caracalla is the non-fragrant 'Snail Vine' and Vigna caracalla is the fragrant 'Corkscrew Vine'. I know some of you are growing the fragrant one, can you describe the scent?
