Winter boredom break

I was browsing around on the forums today and came across a link to this site. Thought it would be of interest for something to browse through the winter months. I think I could be in really big trouble with this one though! Like I need any more ideas! :0 I hope you enjoy it if you haven't already. :)

My mom's best friend actually turned me onto pinterest a few months ago. I always come away from it wondering how I could have spent THAT many hours looking over it! Lol ;-)

Annie ~ I haven't even got to the recipes yet! I like that you can just type in anything and you win every time! Something interesting comes up and I get more ideas! Into my favorites it goes and I start creating again! I love it!

CMK ~ I justify my time on such sites since I don't play any online games. And I just browse through as I'm doing other things around the house. My computer is on all day. Oh the advantages of retirement! :)

I love trying new recipes, so that is what caught my eye. Found several mixed-drink recipes, too for the holidays and dinner parties, Bar-B-Ques and etc. Great menus for special occasions, casual and formal, and etc. Fun ideas for sewing, and that sort of thing, like the costume which I previously pointed out. Cute things to make for my grandbabies! I like how the directions and recipes are posted right there for you to use. (no purchase necessary)

carol6ma : As for the miscellaneous "junk" or trinkets, I'm not into that sort of thing either. I prefer heirloom treasures and antiques. I collect Old books, Blueware dishes, and the like. So, it's Garage Sales and second hand stores for me! (or an occasional dumpster dive for something I just can't resist).

However, I am enjoying looking around. I get ideas for things I can make in just the looking around.

A nice break on a dreary day.
