Hey, thanks for your concern, much appreciated! I totally agree, I've decided this year that I'm not physically equipped for digging up grass. I've done lasagna in one version or another for decades but got impatient this spring. Don't know exactly what I did to my back on the slip'n'slide a few years ago but the pain was much worse than when I broke my tailbone and took many trips to the chiropractor and a few months of taking it easy for it to start feeling better. Sounds like I was lucky 2 b able 2 b helped so much without surgery.
