Help, I think I have Snowdrop Trouble!!!

A few weeks ago I planted some snowdrop bulbs just before a frost. I was under the impression that they wouldn't even begin to stir until next spring, but I've seen some suspicious little green sprouts starting up. We've had some warm weather since I planted them, is there any chance that they've sprouted early? If so, does that mean that they'll die this winter? Can I save them?! Please help a very amateur gardener.

My snowdrops have never done that, however, my muscari always does!! Even some spring primroses I planted in June flowered, beginning in August. I would say relax, but wiser heads may disagree!

Leave them be. I'm expecting daffodils to start popping up here in the next few weeks. Snowdrops are always early in my neighbor's yard.

I agree with the recommendations above. In my zone 7 garden I usually don't see any green before December, but they make it just fine through the harshest months or our winter - January and February. Even in flower, I've seen these babies covered in ice and snow and it doesn't seem to bother them. (That's why I must have them ... to help me make it through winter.)

Whew! I planted my first bulbs in March and was alarmed to see them up about 1/2 inch when I blew my leaves off them here in TN! Maybe all is not lost!

No frost here yet (central NC), but one of my three camellias is edging into full bloom and the other two are close behind - they usually bloom in Jan-Feb. Another legitimate fall blooming camellia is right on schedule. Leaves are slow turning, crepe myrtles are coloring up, but the styrax and Japanese maple look like mid summer. My Kwansa cherry has been leafless since the end of September, pretty normal except that last year the leaves hung on into November. And the serviceberry put on a nice red show, pretty much done now. Oh, and I'm still harvesting tomatoes!

Really squirrelly sequences going on just confirming that Mother Nature is on her own schedule.

I'm thinking my first hard frost will be around Thanksgiving. Last year it was Nov 22 before frost took out anything tender. We've had some light patches, but nothing had been hit.

I worried last year about bulbs that were sprouting in December. I saw tulip leaves in early January. I didn't have any blooms, of course, but the leaves were there.
