Ideas needed for growable pod type plants

A friend who has a small farm is interested in getting ideas for plants that she can grow (NJ zone 7)for making dry arrangements and wreaths. You know the sort of material you see in craft stores like ACMoore and Michaels. She is especially looking for the dramatic pod type of things but she doesn't know the names to search for seeds. Thank you.

Nothing with a remarkable pod that grows here but I've see lotus and poppy heads at craft stores.

There is also a vine called Butterfly Vine or Orchid Vine (Stigmaphyllon littorale) whose seed pod resembles a green butterfly when it's fresh and it turns brown when it dries.

Jacaranda trees put out a nice seed pod as well as echinacea/purple coneflower.

Forgot...the Sweet Gum tree has wonderful spiky looking seed pods too.
