I'd like to learn how to make miniature plants, flowers and gardens. Does anyone have some suggestions on what materials work best or any how tos. Thanks.

It depends on what you mean by "miniature". Did you have a particular scale in mind? You might start by checking out model train books for ideas, since model train stuff comes in scales ranging from 1:24 to 1:160.

You will find a book published in 1999, MAKING MINIATURE GARDENS by Freida Gray very helpful. She does a nice job of explaining details of flower making and miniature garden construction. Have fun!
