You might try painting a few to make them into people and animals. If you have kids, you can see if they like to play with them and add more ppl/ani as you go along.

I know kids love blocks and imagination is a huge thing, kinda like stuffed animal circus's and what-not.

Someone else may have seen or used them for something else.

I have a 'S' shaped path in my shade garden with Hosta's planted on both sides of the path, I painted about 20 pins, some are solid colors some are multicolored and I use the pins for a border.

That's the general idea, except they all go in a 'S' shape. I've gotten lots and lots of compliments on them and have caused several people to go to our local bowling alley and get pins.....

wow!! i have been painting bowling pins for almost a year now,, I have made uncle sams , witches ,bob the builder, some [painted with flowers on them and grapes,, all kinds of things when ever i satart one i think of the next one to paint,, it has been great fun,, I am painting them as a fundraiser for the the american cancer society's relay for life,, have fun and let your creative juices flow!!!

I havve seen them dressed up like an angel. Just some lace used for clothes, hair, and a face painted on them. They were really cute, wish I had a pic to share.
