Garden Craft/Project for Teens ???

Posted by keeperofthememories Zone 5 NY (My Page) on

I was asked to teach 2 garden classes at our local library as part of the summer reading program. For the younger kids, I will be having them create mini portable gardens to take home. However, I am stumped with what to do with the teens. We have 1 hour at the libary and it could be any craft or project that would promote an interest in gardening. I'm not really creative when it comes to crafts. Does anyone have any ideas??

Hi! I don't know if this is the kind of thing you're looking for, but seed bomb were a big hit as a teen program for me at a library.
Powdered red clay is the hardest part to find- I ordered a bag from an art supply store online, but a friend who is taking pottery classes was able to buy a small amount from the studio where she's learning!

Here is a link that might be useful: Seed Bombs
