you pay about $15 for about 5 branches - and they are about 3 or 4 ft. long. What about E Bay ? I've been wanting some just because they are so cool ---(and they aren't easy to come by in WI ) but they are beyond my price range ! You really do have a treasure - at least I think so ! Good luck !

I haven't found ANY curly willow trees locally !!!! Can I ask where you live ? I'm in South Milwaukee ..... I might have to MOVE out by you ! LOLOLLL

They are so much fun to use in flower arrangements.

Are you sure your shrubs are dead? They should be quite hardy in your area. You can root new shrub s or trees just by putting a short branch piece in water. Have fun!

I live in the Chippewa Valley area. I bought three of them four years ago at a local garden center. A buck killed the first one with his antlers. He also rubbed his antlers on the second but it looked like it was going to survive. The next year over half of the tree was dead. The third tree was beautiful last summer, but this year there are no leaves on it. We did go through a drought but I am sure my husband watered it well. We have not cut it down yet, I suppose we are still hoping.

I like the idea of just hanging them on the wall. Maybe I will have to get into stained glass! Thanks, Tory

We had two Corkscrew Willows that were dead. We had them cut down, because were we live it gets very winding and we were afraid that they would fall onto the house. I use the branches to make handles for my handmade round brooms (I sell them on my web site and at festivals). I also use cottonwood, maple, mulberry and cherry. I use the branches that are already dead that need to be cut off living trees and the branches we cut off when pruning. Go to the link to see pictures of the brooms.
