I live in Nashville,i pulled back some pine straw that i had around one of my hosta plants thousands of tiny ants,looked like they have a tiny white spot on them,I think theyre carrying food,but dont know,almost looks like thousands of white spots moveing, but they are ants.has any one ever had this befor, theres none any where else.

You probably exposed their nest...When you do that...they run with the eggs which are white...Could that have been what you saw???
