I think I might have answered my own question... I just found a product called 3-D crystal laquer. Looks like it might work.

Hi Kathy.... I got as far as finding the product online... but not as far as actually buying and using it :)

That's my problem lately... I find so much joy in simply discovering products and ideas.... that I don't feel compelled to actually try them out.

You could also use Dimensional Magic.

Have you tried liquid illusion clear setting resin or wonder water?

I used a glue gun on some flower buds I made from lights.I just let the glue stick drip down and it harden that way.it may work the same way with silk flowers.
