I'm a pressed flower/botanical artist, and I've made pressed flower suncatchers many times. Press the flowers quickly and efficiently using a microwave flower press, which captures the vivid color of the flowers almost instantly. Use tough flowers that hang onto their color really well, like calendula, coreopsis, pansies, lavender, etc. Also, for added protection, use UV resistant glass over the flowers.
