milkweed pods

Hi, I know that it's too early to find milkweed pods yet, but does anyone know of a source to buy some dried ones in bulk?

And, are the dried pod shells poisonous? (sometimes I use wild harvested dried stuff incorporated into bird toys for my parrot) I know that the plant it self is poisonous, generally, to birds, and have read that is what makes the monarchs bad tasting to them . . . .

Am interested in other bulk seed pods as well, if anyone knows of any.

like reading this forum, interesting!
