I did google it. Lots of places to BUY one, but still no clue as to where to find a pattern to MAKE one. I need to know what kind of cuts to make to have it open up into a sphere. I've been playing around with designs, but it's trial and error. Since I've seen the exact same item, as far as design is concerned, offered by numerous companies, there must be a pattern out there.

I agree. Someone can help you somehow. I did some more googling on your behalf, but found nothing. It occurs to me this morning that you should ask your question in Garden Junk. I looked at that forum and they're into sharing ideas, etc. Good luck! Maureen

It was very kind of you to make the effort. You see what I mean, though: 10-15 pages of google hits, and no patterns! I had this idea back in July. and yours was the first response. I posted on other forums, including metalworking, with no results so far.

Just happened to be browsing by and noticed this thread. Google "How to make wind spinners." When I tried it, I got tons of good results :)
