I have no suggestions for websites, but a few years ago I made some ornaments from heads of wheat - I wired 3 together, sprayed with spray glue and shook them in a bag of gold glitter. Any dried garden material that stays sturdy (like poppy pods) would work just as well.

I was shopping in the Wal-Mart produce section, and saw corn husks rolled up in a bag. I bought them, and then went to the craft store and bought large wooden beads (for heads), little straw hats, silk leaves sprayed gold (for wings) and mini baskets, flowers, clay pots, etc. They are going to make the cutest angels!

You can make small wreaths by gluing Sweet Gum balls together and decorating them. Can't remember how many 5 or 6, lay them in a circle and hot glue together, decorate with ribbon and dried flowers.

How about using seed packets hung with ribbon or twine? Hang on to 'em after you take down the tree, and plant them in the Spring! Colorful gardening gloves stuffed with goodies (like a stocking) would be adorable too.

I really like the seed package idea...also you can go to a clip art sites and find seed packages that you can print off. I like the tiny clay flower pots...maybe glue small flowers in them. Don't know the web site but there is a company called Ceramo in Jackson, Missouri that make all sizes of clay flower pots....they would probably sell in bulk. Hope this helps.

We make little garden fairies with whatever dried materials happen to be around, hot-glued together. Half of a trumpet creeper pod makes a great body, with a sweet gum ball for a head and two seed heads from maiden grass for wings... Bay leaves or white pine tips make good wings for little ones, and things like nutshells, pieces of pine cones, star anise, cinnamon sticks, dried lavender blooms, etc. etc. can make cute "accessories". I like a little splash of gold, either in a ribbon to hang it, or one of the (smaller) components sprayed gold. Easy enough for a child to do (with glue gun supervision), and the possibilities are endless!

You could add some softness to the tree by using dried Hydrangeas.
For garland maybe dried fruits tied with raffata.

I personally would like using the old looking gardening tools the way they are. One of those big metal washtubs would be neat to set your tree in with some burlap around it. I've seen where they have used the very small clay pots and put them over the small Christmas lights. I just bought some of those peat moss starting trays. They kinda look like an egg carton. I thought they would be cute to cut into individal squares and put them on lights.
