Silicone II and wood

Posted by gardenjunkie4life Z7 (My Page) on

I need to repair a childs wooden table and chairs. The legs are loose on the table and the spokes are loose on the chairs. This is a very old set. Can I use silicone II to repair and will it hold? Is there another product that will work better?

Thanks for responses and suggestions.

I haven't tried siliconeII with wood to wood, but I use it on wood to glass. There are wood glues that might be better to use.

I use Gorilla glue to repair chairs.Use a small amount . It foams, you can wipe off excess. Turns brown, like dirt, on your hands and impossible to wash off. Another good thing to have on hand for attaching things(metal, plastic, wood.ect. is, Epoxy Putty. Get at hardware store, prob. Walmart. Cost me $3.99, and went a long way for my project-metal, glass-to plant stake. Barb in Ar.

I will try the Gorilla glue. Thanks so much for the advise. Going to get some of the Epoxy Putty to have on hand also.
