Nastertsiums (SPELLING) are really easy just poke them into the ground and they grow and bloom all summer long ..And they re-seed themselves if not cleaned up to fast. Also summer planting bulbs are fun and are 'bigger' in the package. Things like glads are good.

Forget-me-nots are pretty easy and dependable. And now is the time for sweet peas, another easy sprouter!

If you think your friends would enjoy vegie gardening, radishes are fool proof and sprout quickly.

Zinnias and hollyhocks seed very easy and are old times favorites.

I believe diff. easy to grow seeds also include sweet william, love in a mist, and simple herbs like chives, dill, peppermint, catnip, etc. Some people might like an herb assortment for their winter start on an inside window too....
