Hi Joyce: It's a small machine about the size of a large loaf of bread, that you can use to put short dried or silk flowers onto a steel pick, to put into floral foam. It can be used to put stems that are too short, otherwise, in arrangements or on wreaths--like berries. Here is a picture:

Very, very useful, and fast. Once you have one, you will find many uses for it, if you are a flower arranger. I just got one a couple months ago, and don't know what I did without it!
