Do they last from one year to the next?
Nope...they don't...but I read that they could be glycerinized...and haven't tried it yet.

Do you use dried ones or fresh ones?
When I made them, I used fresh.

How did you attach them?
Depends on what kind of form you use. If using straw wreath, take single leaves and wrap around the straw, attaching with greening pins. Then bunch and attach leaves around wreath. And wrap with florist wire for extra strength.

What other natural items, or boughten ones, did you use?
I love magnolia without anything else but a bow.

I have a magnolia wreath I made about 4 years ago. The leaves have aged to a light green/tan/brownish and are very brittle, but the wreath is still beautiful.

I let the leaves dry out a little (fresh leaves turned dark when I tried to hot glue them to the wreath frame). I used a straw base and glued leaves to the outer edge of the wreath with stems pointing to the interior. I then glued another 2 to 3 layers over the first layer, leaving an inch or so of the first layer exposed. I alternated the leaves on each layer so they didn't lay exactly on top of the leaves underneath. I continued the layers until the hole in the middle of the wreathbase was only 2 inches wide.

Kind of hard to describe, but easy to make.
