Moss, Ferns & Cryptogams

Fern photo: ID?

I am new to gardening, especially in Ohio (I'm from Louisiana and have lived in Ohio for 2 years) and am *especially* new to ferns. The photo below shows a fern coming up in my bed. I have scoured the 'net and numerous books at the library looking for some identification of this fern. Can anyone help? Many, many thanks.

Well, from your shot I'll guess Osmunda regalis. Do you have a better picture? They have two very different looking fronds; one is fertile (produces spores and doesn't look like a leaf) and the other sterile (no spores, but leafy). Check out the link below. PF

Sorry the photo is so poor. When I took the photo, it was over a meg in size. I reduced the pixil size so that I could post it here, which severely reduced the quality. I took a look at the link you provided and I think you nailed it. Thank you SO much plantfreak!
