I bought a painted fern

18 years ago

I just picked this up after i finished work for Â£1.99, Athyrium niponicum 'Picta'

I saw the pic on the tag and had to get it!

It will be going out in the front north facing garden later

but I have it indoors until the weather warms a little as we may still have frosts yet, plus it give me a chance to see those fronds unfurling!
