Fern habitat in New Mexico

Just thought you guys might be interested in seeing some fern habitat here in NM. This is in the northwest corner of the state, with Cheilanthes feei growing at upper left:

Cheilanthes feei is a wierd little fern, not usually occurring with other ferns and growing instead in improbable places like this. Sometimes they've got roots penetrating deep into cracks that might have water back in them somewhere, but I've also collected a couple of plants for the herbarium here where the plants were just attached to a solid rock surface--no cracks for its roots, nothing but the side of some dry vertical rock.
