Baby Birds nestng in Staghorn Fern

Would like to share some good pictures of a mother bird and its two babies nesting in our backyard Stag Horn. Note the fern is mounted on a board. Are the birds harmful to the plant or to us? Anyone has experience on how the bird's leave the nest or how long they may be there? I need to maintain the plant. I threw in a banana peel the other day when the mother was not there and did not know the babies were there. You can see it in the picture. I wonder what type of birds are these? Not sure if there is another egg in there.
