Stage of elkhorn spores

I proporgated thes spores through the winter and they've come up, first as a green covering and too tiny to make out individuals, now they've grown and have heart/clover shaped leaflet thingies. Are they still at the stage that need to stay wet for fertilisation, or are they their own individuals now?
Heres a couple of pics of them form a fortnight ago...
^this one has more accurate color
(the pics aren't great because they were taken through plastic and with a mobile)
Also, i grew some birdsnest.
The ones to the bottom left lookjust like the elkhorns, but the top right one is twice the radius(but still only about a cell thick). Are they both the same kind of ferns, just different stages, or did i mix the spores? Thanks!
(Sorry about the sizes, couldn't figure that out ;) ) |
