Have Moss on Stone Path-What Companion Plant Can I Use As Edging?

MidnightStorm

I am building a field stone path in my shade backyard here in Wilmington, North Carolina. I am transplanting existing moss from other parts of my yard to use between the cracks of the stones. I believe the moss I have might be fern moss.

The path is starting to look very nice but I'm wondering what kind of plant options I have for edging along the outer sides of the path. I live in a warm, humid area and have a dappled shade in my yard.

Does anyone have any ideas for low-growing or dwarf plants that might do well growing near moss? I need something that will do well in the damp and shady conditions of my yard and not be prone to mildew.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I appreciate any feedback you can give me.

Linda
