I am verrrry new to this forum, but have a question, we have several patches of moss which grow on the side of the slopes and ditches here, time to time you can find little balls of looking like skeletal very light green maybe dried out moss patches. Kinda reminds me of tiny timberweed. My question is "will they be moss again if they are watered? or is that dead moss bodies?

I would appreciate any info
