Do you know that a species of maidenhair fern grows in the mountains and foothills in So. California?

You need to put the fern outside, in the coolest part of the yard under shade. Do not let it sit in water but let it
dry some between watering.

Thanks for the advice. I do not know what kind I have - it is very dainty. Its leaves is like that of gingko tree.

Will it be too cold outside for it?

It is more liek those you see in some magazines on homes - very elegant and dainty. Can it survive outside?
