Can I cut back yellowing foxtail fern?

Hi I live in Carrollton, Texas (zone 8) and have a lovely flower bed with foxtail ferns. They were fine until recently it reached below freezing temperature. Now they are all brown and dried out. Are they dead? If I cut them back to the ground will they come back in the spring?

Thanks in advance!

Yes you can cut them all the way to the ground..They will come back in full force..

As for them coming back from a freezing temperature, if the roots have not been affected, and the ground not frozen,it may come back..

Only time and patience will tell.. I wish your plant the best..:-)
