Last year I found about eight or nine pretty mushrooms in my yard (in the Houston, TX area). They looked sort of like chanterelles to my untrained eye, but I didn't harvest them for food, of course. I have a couple of pics but they're probably not ideal because by the time I found the things they'd been sitting in a lot of rain and had gotten soggy-looking.
