| Hi everyone!
I managed to grow a maidenhair fern indoors for a while now but I noticed problems recently. It seems to have developed brown spots going from center of its small leaves out (not from the edge in). Only some fronds have this. Otherwise it is a very healthy plant with many new young growing fronds. I have no idea what it is. I have a nice strong light (T5 fluorescent), a humidifier, even temperature (around 65-70F) and no drafts. Any ideas? |

| I'm not an Adiantum specialist, but that looks like "water stress" to me. Maidenhairs are fussy about water. They do best with perfect drainage and freqent watering with good water. (not in standing water) Your water quality and humidity look fine. Contrary to advertizing they can be tricky to grow indoors. Even, difficult to establish outdoors. |
