Will Moss grow under Hosta?

I have a bed of hosta, ferns, heuchera, lung wort, lenten rose, nodding benjamins and a scad of volunteer jack in the pulpit. I have a large area of moss in the back yard and would like to peel it up and grow it in the hosta and friends bed. Will moss grow there? It is on the north side of the house under the edge of an oak tree. Gets a little sun in the afternoon. All of these plants are overlapping after they mature in the spring. The bed is kept watered if we don't get enough rain. I have tried looking on the web but in images there is space around the hostas where the moss grows. I don't have any bare space except in the winter when things have died back. Will the moss grow happily under the hostas?
