RE: OREGON Mosses

What are the pots you're growing these in? Are you growing them in a greenhouse, or outside? They look great. Are you watering with rainwater?

Good work!

RE: OREGON Mosses

Thanks Treehaus!
I definitely will be working out a journal on growing mosses-Check the thread on the Minessota mosses for a link to my Photobucket site where you can see more that are not posted here at GardenWeb.
What I use is Ziploc XS bowls. I find these at a local grocery store. The base of these bowls are reinforced and
can be easily punched with an awl which I do around the bottom side.
I have found that coir is a great medium for mosses. Probably about 1/2 inch or 1 cm depth of coir. Be sure it is soaked in distilled or r/o water.
I use r/o water.
These are all outside (except for the plants I call Tropical Mosses-check my Photobucket site for these).
These mosses must be kept cool if possible-hard to do here in coastal California!!
