Suzi Wong?

Hello!

I recently purchased a beautiful thick fuzzy fern and was told it was a "Suzi Wong." I cannot seem to find information on this fern! The best way to describe its appearance is to say that it is like a big green tuft of moss or that plastic easter grass. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hello Zusya

"Suzi Wong" is a beautiful cultivar of Nephrolepis exaltata.
I've got "Fluffy Ruffles".It's a nice fern too.
Regards.

Thanks fern-addict!

I think I may be started to develop a fern habit myself. I have a "Lasagna" bird's nest and today I bought a crocodyllus.

Does the Suzi Wong need any special treatment? I've heard it needs much higher humidity that the birds nest.

Nephrolepis exaltata 'Suzi Wong' needs good humidity but doesn't like soggy soil.
It must be watered carefully because the foliage cannot support water applied on it (it could rot).
You should trim off the older and yellow fronds, so it will allow more air and light to reach the younger ones.
