What fern grows on tree trunks?

I took some kind of fern from a tree trunk and transplanted it to some bark in a saucer and it's doing well and has new sprouts.

Thanks,

Rene'

Probably the Reserruction Fern, Pleopeltis polypodioides, ssp. michauxiana. It is found in every county throughout the state of Ark.

does it dry up and look dead, but as soon as you water it, does it come back to life? I'd vote for reserection fern too (can't spell for squat...).

staghorns can grow on trees too.
