Frog Moss?

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody knew what this plant is in the link below?
It is called "Frog Moss" and it says that once you get it wet it "comes to life" and will stay green and grow. I would like to get some moss like this for an indoor terrarium. I haven;t had any luck with the stuff I gathered in my yard. Probably needed different temps than I have in my orchid room.

Thanks!

RE: Frog Moss?

It is a moss. Just how hot is your terrarium? I suspect this is a Northern Hemisphere species but with no scientific id I can only speculate. It could probably handle a terrarium with lows in the 50s and highs into the mid 70s daily. If the terrarium is kept in the 70s or higher all day then the moss would be exhausted and die.
Check the link below. T & C does carry a moss that can handle more consistently higher temps but availability is a big issue. Also recommend goggling the topic as there are other sources of the same product and one even sells something similar that is live.
